This Sunday December 3rd, HEV will be hosting a holiday pop-up market with a few different vendors selling jewelry, records, art and more. The pop-up will run from 12-6, more info can be found in the Facebook event page. Drop in for some holiday cheer!
Just across the street from us, The Loft will be hosting their annual holiday market as well with over a dozen vendors and live music, make sure to check them out as well.

With this sale shipping in the US is $5- flat rate for all orders. Shipping outside of North America starts at $35 for the first disc, and around $10 for each additional disc. After a few months of planning we are psyched to bring the night back to Brass Union...right down the street in Union Square! Our first night is Wednesday March first, everything starts up at 8 and will run until close...around 11:30 or 12. As always, our night of all vinyl tunes has no cover! In a continuing series of seriously terrible films presented exclusively on VHS comes... The Wiz Kid ... also known as "Bodo- Einze ganze normal Familie" so yeah its a German film, but don't worry its terribly dubbed for your pleasure!

In a misguided attempt at family fun film one film viewer describes it as "grand in it's disturbing horror". The film revolves around "wiz kid" Bodo who despite his above average intelligence is mercilessly bullied. Eventually to seduce the girlfriend of one of his bullies Bodo clones himself and supposedly madcap comedy ensues (we'll have to see about that).

This Disasterpiece Theatre is at High Energy Vintage, we have limited seating so please RSVP on Facebook or by [email protected]" target="_blank">email if you plan on coming, but please do not if you are not. The RSVP list helps us decide how to setup the space. If the event is at capacity those with an RSVP will be given priority. Disasterpiece Theatre is an adult oriented event and is 21+

Every Sunday June 5th through October 16th High Energy sets up at The Somerville Flea in Davis Square. The flea starts up at 10am and runs until 4pm. There are usually about 20-30 vendors and a farmers market with local veggies. When we setup at the flea we bring out clothes footwear, records, video games, cameras... the usual stuff you might find in the store... and more. If you haven't heard the news...here is the news; High Energy is moving! Our location at 1242 Broadway officially closes Thursday September 3rd. We plan on re-opening in Union Square, Somerville during the month of October.
Until we re-open you may visit us at the Somerville Flea in Davis Square on Sundays, and starting on September 19th, every Saturday at The Oliver Best Vintage Market in Allston. You can also catch us with a setup of mostly vintage games at Bit Fest events, checkout the Indie Invasion on Sept 10th and 11th at Night Shift Brewery In Evertt

8.22 Starlab Fest 2015

In a culmination of everything awesome, we are pleased to announce that our friends over at Starlab Studios will be hosting another edition of the their annual music and arts festival, Starlab Fest 2015!!!

This year's festival will be held on Saturday August 22 from 12-9pm in Union Square, Somerville. In addition to music, comedy, film, and other arts, Bit Fest will have a mini-arcade setup with classic arcade games... and Old School Game Show will be there to do a live performance as well!

Tickets are $10- in advance, and are available at a variety of locations including High Energy Vintage and Starlab Studious. You can also purchase tickets from Brown Paper Tickets.

After nearly 3 years in one location, we have built up allot of stuff! Stop by Sunday to get a peak at some of what we have been hoarding!

Disasterpiece Theatre is a continuing series of seriously bad films shown exclusively on VHS. We scrape the bottom of the barrel to bring you Z-grade, sub-cult material.

This Thursday 6.18 we present Cybernator a futuristic cyber-punk something something. Who cares really, the movie is going to be terrible and there will be beer and pizza.

Come out to River Gods Friday the 13'th for another awesome installment of After Hours. This all vinyl night will have lots of punk, post-punk, new-wave and Italo-disco... and more all on vinyl, all night long! 3.15 Disasterpiec Theatre XVIII: Double Down Double Feature with Expect No Mercy and Circuit Breaker

Disasterpiece Theatre is back with more Z grade cinema Sunday 3.15 with our first double feature! If you have always wanted to see Tae Bo creator Billy Blanks kick some ass, then you will love/hate Expect No Mercy. If poor acted cyborgs are your jam, then Circuit Breaker is for you. Made by and starring nobody of any notoriety Circuit Breaker also goes by the title of Inhumanoid. The event starts at 6pm at Starlab Studios in Somerville. This upcoming Saturday is Small Business Saturday! While Small Business Saturday is a fake shopping holiday that was created by American Express in 2010 (ironically the only credit card that we don't accept) the premise behind it is great! Spending your money at small business is super important, it's estimated that 68% of money spent at small business goes right back into the community (the other 32% goes to feed my cat Ms. Peel). Also, wow the store has been open for just over two years, way cool!

For the first, and probably only time ever, all of our fine vintage clothing and footwear will be 20% off, pick up some great duds or a sweet pair of boots! For four solid hours myself (Wiley) and Marathon Edits will bring you a sampling of the finest tunes to ever have been pressed into vinyl.
